"Here's Looking At You, Kid"

That's right folks...

Tonight I put pen to paper ( figuratively speaking ) as I reminisce about one iconic movie headlining one of the best actors that ever donned a fedora and graced that silver screen. Humphrey Bogart nailed it. Larger than life and taller than he was in person, Bogart really owned that world.

I remember growing up only a few of those old black and white treasures from Hollywood that my grandparents, and my dad talked about. Dad was more John Wayne and Louis La' Mour but he did respect Bogey. I could tell you my grandparents love of the man and his work. Pops looked at him as the man's man, my granny I think crushed on him
He was mister smooth, cool and yep he was the Man.

Now we recognize that iconic line that made so many girls blush and smile but what many do not know... Myself included for a long time, Bogart made Casablanca in more ways than one.

I will include this link since I am typing on a rather temperamental smart phone tonight, and a bit sleepy lol

Bare with me folks I'll get it up in a jiff..

Now I ask you if you knew that unforgettable line "Here's Looking At You, Kid" was not scripted? See that was completely Bogart. Word is he had his eye on the beautiful Ingrid Bergman between shooting as she had started playing poker with the gang and boning up on her English. So he more than personalized the role. And we can't forget her "We will always have Paris"
It was an incredible story wasn't it? Every element and event from that time. And even today we can try to apply to our own "Hill of beans"
What you take from it is quite personal but I bet you walk away grinning saying wow. He had style and charisma y'all.

Now to more "personal" from me.
In elementary school I didn't get along with or agree with my vice principal Mr. Crabtree. Well sir I will now say thanks for the movie, was a favorite of yours and one day I got curious
It is an awesome movie and one of my favourites. And he gets his girl in the end! 😉

How's it hanging y'all?

Short, shriveled, and to the left?

A movie line funny but really a bit of truth at times in humorously said hilarity. Name that tune?

Liar! Liar!   Yep ol Jim Carry nailed it in uproarious comedic fashion. But folks that's a far cry from tonight's post.

And another on the other side of the spectrum...

Marked For Death

Steven Seagal's finest and most drawing movie for myself. I guess I am a bit of a crazy one lol. Oh well and inspirational moments to this Mustard Man who did earn his badges some years later hungering for that death defying life affirming moment...

Who knew? Was all about a dream..a girl? A chance? Or an adventure to prove I was a man? Lol, either way that is a given...

I am Mustard Man

Now let's cut the rambling fluff and get to the real theme and essence of my meanderings...

See the spirit of this blog gifted to me by that special blogger we should remember and hold a lil affection for. I'm not stumping for an audience for her returned to post status but she is one of a kind.

No. The meat of the story is not an excuse to deriliction of duty or any fancy word excuse. It has been a very long time.

I'm in a mood. Lost so much and lived a lot since that last post. Mine wasn't just to entertain or make you laugh. It really was to remind and remember tales, trips, movies, automotive, or simply heritage.

Halcion and warm feelings of yesteryear.

All good mostly. And it was to invoke those memories. Good for me and random readers alike.

Hold your memories dear y'all. Be it your own personal triumphs of smiley thoughts? Or hand me down dreams and stories that somehow stamped your life or forever in your mind became a part of you.

I love the tales and the memories I myself made.

Now I pose a question to you...

Do you dare share
your fondest memories here to my blog so it is immortalized? Take a chance and let it flow. Surprise yourself and me if you dare.

Is it an early rememberance or maybe a thought of a vision? The car, the Andy Griffith type moment of dad and son or daughter with barefeet and a fishin' pole?

Or the one that got away? The heart-rending moment that you regret, remember and replay as you second guess yourself over coffee in mornings or anytime after?

Perhaps a great triumph? Did you Win? Wanna brag?

Were you the Prom King and Queen? The Cheerleader or Quarterback? Are you the chess club or the Techie? Y'all have all got a story to tell...

All things remind us, shape us, mold is, excite us, or destroy us. The choice is yours.

That pretty girl of your dreams? The first adventures? The other things that made us?

Share if here. Closure of glowing reviews of triumph and disaster as well. Come post to me what you remember. It may be the release you have needed for so long...

I'll end this thing tonight by saying the past has been an amazing ride. Good times and bad times we shall remember. But y'all? The present does open the door to our future...

An unexpected return to post perhaps but think about it folks. And take care and feel free to contact me and share your life affirming moments and memories.

Just remember when...

Get 'er Done ;)
