"Here's Looking At You, Kid"

That's right folks...

Tonight I put pen to paper ( figuratively speaking ) as I reminisce about one iconic movie headlining one of the best actors that ever donned a fedora and graced that silver screen. Humphrey Bogart nailed it. Larger than life and taller than he was in person, Bogart really owned that world.

I remember growing up only a few of those old black and white treasures from Hollywood that my grandparents, and my dad talked about. Dad was more John Wayne and Louis La' Mour but he did respect Bogey. I could tell you my grandparents love of the man and his work. Pops looked at him as the man's man, my granny I think crushed on him
He was mister smooth, cool and yep he was the Man.

Now we recognize that iconic line that made so many girls blush and smile but what many do not know... Myself included for a long time, Bogart made Casablanca in more ways than one.

I will include this link since I am typing on a rather temperamental smart phone tonight, and a bit sleepy lol

Bare with me folks I'll get it up in a jiff..

Now I ask you if you knew that unforgettable line "Here's Looking At You, Kid" was not scripted? See that was completely Bogart. Word is he had his eye on the beautiful Ingrid Bergman between shooting as she had started playing poker with the gang and boning up on her English. So he more than personalized the role. And we can't forget her "We will always have Paris"
It was an incredible story wasn't it? Every element and event from that time. And even today we can try to apply to our own "Hill of beans"
What you take from it is quite personal but I bet you walk away grinning saying wow. He had style and charisma y'all.

Now to more "personal" from me.
In elementary school I didn't get along with or agree with my vice principal Mr. Crabtree. Well sir I will now say thanks for the movie, was a favorite of yours and one day I got curious
It is an awesome movie and one of my favourites. And he gets his girl in the end! 😉
