It Really Happened...More Or Less...

   1941! Yes the events that changed the course of our history folks! We were at war!

First let me say thank you to those brave souls that fought to ensure our freedom, our way of life and our right to comedy!

Howdy Y'all..it has been some time since my last post, and yes we are still here! Good news for most but the conspiracy nuts, doomsdayers and naysayers...not so much huh?

Now I am sure you wonder what the title of this here post means....

Well this is not a tribute to the events of that time exactly. See there is one thing about us Americans that is a universal trait to be sure...

We like to kick back and relax, maybe have a beer or two as we have a laugh. Tonight I want to share a laugh with the readers and a reminder of those past glory days of comedy and a film maybe forgotten or overlooked. It's a classic and now has a P.G. rating. It is a riot and I promise will make you laugh..I sure did...

So take a load off and kick back with a cold drink and some buttered popcorn or whatever your snack of choice is for movie night and prepare for a hilarious blast from 1979..it is great ;) Enjoy!

Steven Spielberg directs this riotous farce depicting the hysteria of a cross section of Los Angeles citizens following the bombing of Pear Harbor. The film is loosely based on a true event in which a Japanese submarine surfaced off the California coast, setting off a brief wave of panic.
