Remembering The Past Two Weeks!

No this isn't a typical post but I am outraged. The technical difficulties I alluded to for my recent absence has been traced out and on the verge of the weekend no less! The Internet hucksters I am forced to contract because I chose to reside in a rural area not because I can't do better..because it is better living. It has it's share of petty problems what area does not? But the one thing I require to put this here blog out and spend time with my beautiful dreamy girl when we are apart due to the rigors of work and all that is INTERNET ACCESS!! I don't presume to feign importance or political prosperity non of that Crap! But we as individuals who pay out our hard earned money for Internet so we can stay connected....

DESERVE WHAT WE PAY THOSE IDIOTS FOR!!!

I apologize for ranting and i apologize for the lack of posts last week y'all. If there's any typos present I am sorry but right now I'm madder than two sore tailed alley cats with their tails tied together hung over a clothes line in a rainstorm as they fight, claw, and scratch each other to death! And for the record I hate cats too! Just wash your new truck wake up and see paw prints all over it and say you disagree...

I decided to edit this here post and close er down with a song...enjoy and pop a top with me Y'all!!

Now He's Off On The Greatest Adventure...

Howdy Y'all once again we doing a farewell tribute to one of the great characters of film..Mr.

Ernest Borgnine

RED may have been one his last great performances on screen. He was pretty charged for a 93 year old don't you think? But he is known for many great shows and roles from bad guys to a shy, stocky, lonely butcher...

His gaped tooth grin and laugh is unforgettable. He co starred in another of my favorite 80's shows I hope we all remember...

Airwolf was a great action packed series to be sure!

Now we go back to the 60's and I hope y'all remember this one...

Borgnine's Oscar-winning role as "Marty," a lonely, gentle Bronx butcher looking for love, came in 1955, very early in his big-screen career, demonstrating a wide acting range and an ability to make the audience identify with him as an overweight, ordinary-looking everyman.

The list of his films, characters played, and achievements is a very long list. He was a heck of guy and we will miss him.

He had a pretty good run and 95 years on this earth and he made quite a dent. So Mr. Borgnine we salute your memory Sir and enjoy flying that big ole copter in the sky.

That's it for tonight Y'all. Drop in and pay us a visit again...

Steele On The Case...After All This Time

Howdy Y'all I'm back after a week long forced sabbatical thanks to storms and lost internet connectivity. Hope you had a great Forth Of July and took in all the fireworks and festivities. I was poking around on Hulu and it hit me! One of my favorite series of the 80's and watching a lot of James Bond the other day so we are all gonna take a minute and remember Remington Steele a great detective that had all of the answers but didn't really exist. It was a smart, and stylized show with mystery, intrigue and plenty of tongue in cheek humor...

Lets go see what good ole YouTube has to offer that series and maybe reminisce with me and share a few laughs along the way...

That Sherlock Holmes inspired cat always made me laugh.

Now for a few choice scenes..

There's was quite a story and really did love each other...but that was what kept the show so interesting didn't it? They don't make em like that anymore...
Until the next time Y'all...
This one was kind of fitting for my 45th post don't you think? .45 is a formidable caliber and yep fits...

I Miss Mayberry....

Howdy Y'all we all here today with heavy heart and a little misty eyed. This is my tribute to one of the greatest legends of the silver screen and North Carolina's favorite son and America's Sheriff. Mister Andy Griffith. Now he came up a long time ago and he earned his way into the hearts of all of us. The news of his passing today hit me harder than ton of bricks. I just sat down and was lost. It hurt like losing a member of my own family and I know he had been feelin' poorly for a spell, but I was not prepared for him leaving this ole world just yet. Just 2 days before my birthday and I had had it in mind to take me a ride down to Mount Airy for the 4th or at least stop in the Snappy Diner on the 5th.. I can't bring myself to do that just now though. But friends lets remember Andy and Mayberry and so much he did besides that. And y'all I think if we went and got us a hot dog and remembered Ben Matlock too. As we bid farewell to Andy we must also remember the other cast members too but you know what? I bet they all gathered around now planning a fishing trip out there in Mayberry cause I beleive Heaven recreated that town just for them and when I pass on I pray that I get a invite down there and some of Aunt Bea's fried chicken, maybe the Darling family will bring the refreshments and they watching to make sure Otis don't try drink it all up. And to this day the Andy Griffith Show has never left syndication...I pray it never does!

And we have to have a Mayberry Reunion moment...

They Will Be Missed and Mister Andy Griffith.. Thank You for The Memories!

I will leave Y'all with a song from Rascal Flatts and then I think I'll go down to the drugstore for a bottle of pop then walk down to the creek skipping stones, maybe do a lil fishin' as I hum that theme song and sit back reminiscing on all the great times they had...

Howdy Y'all... yep tonight's story occurred in 1982 ( I was 2 so the stories were handed down to me)

First we remember this classic!

E.T. was a hit from the day it was released (June 11, 1982) and quickly became one of the most beloved movies of all time.
